SINGLES

Erica Sunshine Lee wrote her new fun Summer Song “Salt,” while in Key West. we all have that person. That’s hard to let go of somebody that.

Gets under our skin and we have this strong powerful addiction as she relates it to her love of the ocean, happy hours, and fun memories of the beach growing up. She said “ I want the video to show a young love who can’t let go of each other and show them coming back to each other years later.”

Filmed by Joshua Mendez on the beautiful beach of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, Sunshine captured that Salty feeling with a free and easy upbeat and catchy pop country and tropical rock blend. This song gets your feet tapping, makes you wanna dance, and gets stuck in your head.

ESL directs and produces her music videos and wants her audience to see and feel what she envisions while writing the song. “I want to take people on a soul journey, and also share with them the beautiful places and people I get to experience on my tours.”

This sweet and savory tune reminiscing on an addictive love is out on iTunes/spotify and check out the music video for yourself, it’s hard not to smile when “SALT” is playing.

Erica Sunshine Lee’s new single “Fragile“ depicts a more vulnerable and sensitive side of her music and gives a beautiful background painted by the canyons of Moab, Utah.

This song was penned at a writers‘ retreat in Manistee, Michigan with friends Justin Robbins, Kyle Mercer & John Bielecki. “I started picking this sweet guitar riff at our sound check for the songwriter’s showcase and looked at Justin and said “I’m gonna write something to this later…” and we finished it that night in the kitchen with some strawberry rhubarb pie.

I was just as mesmerized then as I am now by this melody, and it took a life of its own that night. This real life biography is all about having the courage to step out and start again into a new relationship after your heart’s been broken.  It takes courage and strength, and also the patience of a new love, and that bold step to question and decide if it is worth trying again; all the while knowing if you don’t take the risk, you may never find the true love that you desire and deserve. This song is my personal anthem, my past, and a bold, fierce dare for a future love to take care of my fragile, but open and vulnerable heart to make it worth my while to fall all over again.”

The beautiful music and haunting melodies will make you fall in love with this story, and want to take the daring risk, while this video and the song takes you to new heights. This video was produced and directed by Erica Sunshine Lee, and Co-produced and filmed by Canadian Cinematographer Productions Alex B.  Music was produced by Erica Sunshine Lee and Buddy Hyatt, recorded at Hilltop Studios in Nashville, TN and engineered and mixed by Zach Allen.  Joel Key on acoustic guitar, Brent Mason and Austin Crum on electric guitar, Buddy Hyatt on keys, Steve “Skank” Hinson on pedal steel, Lonnie Wilson on drums.

“Gonna be single for the summer ain't nobody tying me down.”- esl

Erica Sunshine Lee is turning heads and breaking hearts with her brand new single and music video for the summer, appropriately titled “Single for the Summer.” Sunshine self-penned, produced and directed this bright and colorful music video filmed and edited by Josh Mendez at the Lake of the Ozarks, reminiscent of a modern day female “Chattahoochee.” This infectious and catchy hit radio song (Radio Trop Rock’s song of the year) showcases her fun, bright, and bouncy personality with this epic anthem! Kicking off the sunny season for all ages, Erica celebrates independence, freedom and waves a flag of victory after her “Spring Break up.”  Like Beyoncé, she’s representing all the single ladies (and fellas) in an empowering message to embrace the happiness of being on your own, enjoy friends and find pleasure in being, accepting, and loving yourself. The “Hardest working woman in country music,” Erica Sunshine Lee, is a prolific award winning songwriter, and has earned this reputation consistently performing 300 shows annually since 2007 touring full-time around the globe after quitting her day job as a GM car sales woman. “Life’s too short to be miserable.  If you don’t like you’re job, relationship, or situation, make a change, or change your attitude.” Full of wisdom, this Georgia Gypsy is a true storyteller, spanning the diverse genres of country, classic country, rock, southern rock, pop, tropical rock, bluegrass and christian music. I grew up with so many influences from 80s & 90s rock and country to r&b and gospel, so my taste in music is extremely eclectic; so is my songwriting.  ”I write about real life and these are my personal stories. Although breakups and losses can be devastating, sometimes refining the diamonds in the fire is a necessary process to make life even more beautiful.

Embrace the seasons of life, whether you’re in a relationship or single, there’s always something to learn about yourself and become better as individuals which also makes for stronger relationships. I’m learning no matter who I’m with or surrounded by, never lose my faith in God, who I am as a person, what I am passionate about and never stop chasing what makes me smile.  I hope you catch every dream you ever had, excuses are only for those who make them.  I’m not waiting on The Fourth of July, now I’m celebrating my independence every day.”

“To stepping stones, growing pains, the bluest skies come after the rain, and even though I didn’t wanna let you go, sometimes you have to celebrate after surviving hurricanes; so I’m toasting Champagne.”

“For me, “Champagne” is not just another drinking song. This is a song of victory. This is a song of overcoming. It’s a new birth and realization of the healing after heartache. I’m grateful for what this past year has taught me, and celebrating my own breakthroughs. This is a song of new beginnings to appreciate surviving through some of life’s toughest moments. I think there is beauty in the storm and growth through pain and this song is a perfect depiction of the last year of my life and everything that led up to may being able to move forward. I wrote this the morning after Hurricane Eta hit Key West in November 2020, and I was just praying for God to let me survive another one of life’s unexpected curveballs. The next day, I sat down with tears of sorrow, and shed the old, with a bottle of champagne and wrote this song to heal.

This song made me realize how important it is to love myself no matter what I am going through or what I have been through. I learned if you’re not in a healthy relationship, it’s okay to get out and leave. We only get one life, so don’t waste time being miserable or trapped in a negative situation. We can choose happiness and our own health. I choose to embrace the good and learn from the bad. This song celebrates my imperfections, the mistakes of the past, and allows me to forgive myself and have a clean slate. I think we all need to celebrate marking it through 2020! Personally, after surviving a tornado, hurricane, a massive heartbreak, and a pandemic, I’m raising my glass to loving myself, and I hope you will love this video and song as much as I do!

Pinkies up Bitches!”

-Erica Sunshine Lee

I love making people smile. California Gold is a true story about falling for that special someone, enjoying every second of the journey, and seeing where each kiss and breadcrumb will lead you. It's an exploration of pioneering those feelings, discovering what you never knew you were missing... I moved to San Francisco in 2001, and I fell in love with the west coast and the enamor of the cliffs in Santa Cruz, and when I wrote this song with Meghan Williams, I knew exactly where I wanted the music video to take place: THE SANTA CRUZ BEACH BOARDWALK ...I want to be remembered as a girl who has changed the world for the better...spread the SUNSHINE!!!

Peace, Love & Sunshine,
