Event-PuhoiErica-Lee-074The opening of the beautifully renovated Puhoi Valley Café and Cheese Store has provided the perfect venue for a series of music festival events over summer.The ‘Puhoi Party in the Park Summer Series’ features some of New Zealand’s finest artists including Julie Mason, international guitarist Billy TK jnr, Paul Ubana Jones, Shane, Larry Morris, Edwina Thorne and The DeSotos. Among the international guests will be country music star Erica Sunshine Lee straight from Georgia in the US.

Erica is a prolific songwriter who has recently completed her third album, after performing in Nashville. She has toured with the likes of David Allan Coe, Jack Ingram, ZZ Top, Henry Kapono, Wayne Mills, Eric Lee Beddingfield and Derek Welsh from Amsterdam to Costa Rica and Hawaii.

Organisers says the Summer Series will offer ‘something for everyone”.

This will include a country music fair, an international jazz & blues festival, divas in the park, a 60s show and a bluesy bbq.

There will also be a free kids program happening at each event, including an ice cream parlour, giveaways, bouncy castles and face painting.
